Company Overview

Our mission at New Sector Alliance is to accelerate social change by strengthening organizations today while developing leaders for tomorrow. Our vision is a world in which communities’ needs are met consistently, efficiently, and effectively by the social sector.

We pursue these goals by working with people committed to social impact to become more effective social sector professionals. We believe that by building social sector talent, today and for the future, we enable a stronger social sector that can better meet our collective communities’ needs.

For over a decade, New Sector has pursued its mission by building organizational capacity and supporting skilled emerging leaders to help them accelerate their careers and their impact. Since 2001, we have mobilized over 1,000 emerging leaders and 1,000 experienced professional volunteers to deliver over $40 million in high impact support to over 400 nonprofit and community organizations working to address critical community needs.

The Need:
At New Sector we know that people’s time and talent committed to social impact is the engine for an effective sector.
But many people in the sector…

Lack the Resources to identify, access, and gain necessary skills
Lack support or are isolated
Lack pathways for career growth or greater influence
So over time they may do less impactful work or leave the sector altogether, reducing the value of their time and talent to our shared communities.
