Community Investment Collaborative
Company Overview
The Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) is a Community Development Finance
Institution with a mission of strengthening our community and contributing to economic
development by fueling the success of under-resourced entrepreneurs through education,
mentoring, financing and networking. The organization has served over 500 under-resourced
entrepreneurs over its 10 year history, including making over $2 million in microloans to 150
borrowers, $1.5 million of that total in the last 24 months.
Company History
CIC was founded in 2011 and held its first workshop in May 2012. Since then, for every $1 spent by CIC, we have helped entrepreneurs generate $5.65 in wages from job creation in our community. We’ve accomplished these results through our work to increase access to business networks, financial capital and the knowledge and skills necessary to grow a small business.
